THERE AIN’T NO ROOM FOR BORING, BUT THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE (Car seat in the back)
I love these commercials because I too ain’t got no room for boring. But The Muppets can’t put in another tether in the third row seating, which is only available in the middle seat of the back three. That means the car is out immediately. You could be one of those that just uses the seat belt and moves the seat to either side of the bench in the back but 1) I believe in using the technology created to keep my child safe, and 2) my wife felt carsick in the back. Now #2 could be because she’s in the third trimester. It could also be from the make of the vehicle and how the suspension rides.
The drive was nice, the interior is wonderful. We like the tech and the little shelf that runs at the bottom of the dash for the miscellaneous items that end up in cupholders. I liked that the cupholder in between the second row captain’s chairs went down and up to not obstruct the path to the third row. My wife did not. She felt it was cheap. The ride was nice in the front. As stated before, my wife felt everything riding in the back seat.
I would recommend the Highlander if you only have two kids in car seats. The same can be said for the rest of the cars I’ve reviewed, except for the Armada where nothing can save it from it’s mileage but for it’s 2015 update coming this fall.
We ain’t got no room for the Highlander on our list of contenders for this family of five. And our search continues.
